Your privacy in plain English

Last updated

This is the short version of our Privacy Policy, written to be easy to read at any age. If you're under 18 and something here doesn't make sense, ask a parent, carer or teacher, or email us at support@shot3d.co.uk.

The most important thing

Your 3D models stay on your device. So do the pictures and videos you make. We never see them.

What we do use

When What we use Why
You visit the site Your internet address and browser type, kept for a limited time To run the site and keep it safe
You look around Counts of which pages and features get used. These don't say who you are, and no cookies are involved To work out what to improve
You export without an account A scrambled code made from your internet address, and a count. Deleted within 2 days To apply the limit of 3 exports
You save a project Nothing comes to us. Your browser keeps a copy of the project's models and settings on your device, until you delete it So you can carry on later
You add a logo in Reel Studio Nothing comes to us. Your browser keeps a copy with your reels, on your device So you don't have to add it again
You're asked your date of birth Your answer is only checked on your device. It isn't saved or sent to us To apply our age rules
You make an account Your name, email address and picture, plus sign-in details To run your account
You pay Your billing details, handled by Stripe. We never see your full card number To take payment

We don't sell your data, show ads or build a profile of you. A few companies help us run Shot3D, and our Privacy Policy lists them.

Your choices

  • You can use Shot3D for up to 3 exports without an account.
  • You don't have to create an account or pay for anything.
  • You can delete browser data whenever you like, though the count on our server stays until it deletes itself.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • show you the data we have about you;
  • fix anything that's wrong;
  • delete your data, although we have to keep some records, such as invoices;
  • stop using your data for some things.

To ask, email us about your data. You can ask for yourself, or a parent or carer can help you. We normally reply within one month, and it's free.

Make a complaint

If you're unhappy with how we've used your data, email us your complaint. Tell us what happened and what you'd like us to do. Here's what happens next:

  1. We'll tell you we've got your complaint within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
  2. We'll look into it without delay, and keep you updated.
  3. We'll tell you what we found and what we've done about it.

You can also complain to the UK's data protection regulator at any time: the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

Paying for Shot3D if you're under 18

You need a parent or guardian's permission to buy a subscription, and you must be at least 13 to use Shot3D. If someone under 18 bought a subscription without permission, the person who bought it or their parent or guardian can email us. We'll cancel it and refund the charges. We may ask a few questions to confirm this.
