Terms of Service
These terms form the agreement between you and DANCI LTD ("Shot3D", "we", "us") for using Shot3D. Please read them before creating an account or subscribing. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.
The short version: Shot3D runs in your browser and your models stay on your device. Paid plans renew monthly until you cancel, and you can cancel in a couple of clicks. The Pro trial costs £1 for 3 days and up to 25 exported images, then renews at the normal Pro price unless you cancel first. We'll email you before it renews.
About us
Shot3D is operated by DANCI LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17228936), with its registered office at Unit 8b Slutchers Lane, Bank Quay Trading Estate, Warrington, WA1 1PJ, United Kingdom. You can contact us at support@shot3d.co.uk.
Accepting these terms
By creating an account, subscribing or using Shot3D, you agree to these terms. If you use Shot3D on behalf of a business, you confirm you're authorised to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that business.
You must be at least 13 to use Shot3D, and 18 or over (or have a parent or guardian's permission) to buy a subscription. We ask for your month and year of birth before you create an account, and you confirm your age or permission before you buy a subscription.
If someone under 18 bought a subscription without permission, they or their parent or guardian can contact us at support@shot3d.co.uk. We'll cancel it and refund the charges. We may ask a few questions to confirm this.
Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- One person per account. Accounts may not be shared or resold.
- Tell us straight away at support@shot3d.co.uk if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
How the service works
Shot3D is a browser-based studio for creating thumbnails and turntable videos of 3D models.
- Your files stay with you. Models are opened and rendered on your device, and exports are saved directly to it. We don't receive or store them, so keep your own copies and backups. Saved projects are kept by your browser, which can clear them, so download a .shot3d file of any project you want to keep.
- Browser requirements. Shot3D needs a modern browser with WebGL. Some features, such as MP4 export, depend on your browser and device.
- Changes. We improve Shot3D regularly and may add, change or remove features. We won't make changes that significantly reduce what a paid plan includes during a billing period you have already paid for.
Plans and prices
We offer a Free plan and paid plans (currently Pro and Studio). What each plan includes, such as export limits, export resolution, batch size, video export and watermarking, is shown in the studio under Plans & billing at the time you subscribe.
Without an account, you can export up to 3 images. A free account allows up to 10 exported images a day.
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and confirmed on the checkout page before you pay, including any applicable taxes.
The Pro trial
New customers can try Pro with an introductory trial:
- You pay £1 when the trial starts, which gives you 3 days of Pro with up to 25 exported images. Each image counts: a batch of 10 models is 10 exports, and a contact sheet, turntable video or GIF is 1.
- If you use all 25, you can start Pro early under Plans & billing. That ends the trial and charges the Pro monthly price straight away. Otherwise, you can still use the studio but not export until the trial ends and Pro begins.
- Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription continues automatically at the standard Pro monthly price shown at checkout (currently £10 a month), charged to the card you gave us.
- We'll send you a reminder email before the trial ends, telling you the date and the amount you'll be charged.
- You can cancel at any time during the trial under Plans & billing → Manage billing. You keep Pro until the trial ends and won't be charged again.
- One trial per person. The trial isn't available if you've had a Shot3D subscription before, and we may decline or cancel trials that appear to be duplicates.
- Upgrading to a higher plan during the trial ends the trial and starts that plan immediately at its full price.
Billing and renewal
- Paid plans renew automatically every month on the same date as your first payment (or the date your trial ended), until you cancel.
- Payments are taken by our payment processor, Stripe, using the payment method you provide. You authorise us to charge it for each renewal.
- Upgrading takes effect immediately. You're charged the price difference for the rest of the current billing period, based on the time remaining, and the new price applies from your next renewal. We show you the exact amount before you confirm.
- Downgrading to a cheaper paid plan takes effect immediately. The value of your unused time on the more expensive plan is credited to your account and taken off future payments.
- If a payment fails, we'll ask you to update your payment details. We may pause or end paid features if payment isn't made after a reasonable number of attempts.
- Price changes. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email of any increase to your subscription price. The new price applies from your next renewal after that notice, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel at any time in the studio under Plans & billing → Manage billing. Cancellation stops future renewals. You keep your paid features until the end of the period you've already paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan. We don't charge cancellation fees.
Your right to cancel and refunds (UK consumers)
If you're a consumer in the UK, you have a legal right to cancel a new subscription within 14 days of buying it (the "cooling-off period").
Before checkout, we ask you to confirm that you want your paid plan to start immediately, so you can use it during the cooling-off period, and that you understand the effect on any refund. If you cancel within 14 days, contact us at support@shot3d.co.uk and we'll refund what you paid, minus a proportionate amount for the time you used the service before cancelling.
Outside the cooling-off period, payments for time already started aren't refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or we decide to make a refund at our discretion. This doesn't affect your other legal rights, for example if the service is faulty or not as described.
Your content
- You own your models, textures and the images and videos you create with Shot3D. We claim no rights over them.
- Because your files stay on your device, we don't access or review them.
- You're responsible for having the rights to the models and materials you use, and for how you use your exports.
Our intellectual property
Shot3D's software, design, logos, presets and other materials belong to DANCI LTD or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Shot3D under these terms while your account is in good standing. Images and videos you create are yours to use commercially, including in marketplace listings, with no attribution needed, except for Free-plan exports that carry the Shot3D watermark, which must not be removed.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- get around plan limits, watermarks, trial restrictions or payment, or create multiple accounts to do so
- copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell Shot3D or any part of it, except where the law allows this
- interfere with or overload the service, or try to access accounts, systems or data that aren't yours
- use automated tools to access Shot3D other than through the normal user interface
- use Shot3D for anything unlawful, or in a way that infringes others' rights
Suspension and termination
You can close your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting us.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we're required to by law, or to protect the service or other users. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to put things right. If we close your account without good reason, we'll refund any payment for the unused part of your current billing period.
Availability
We work to keep Shot3D available and reliable, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to pause the service for maintenance, security or reasons beyond our control.
Our responsibility to you
If you're a consumer: we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable, or for business losses, such as lost profit, revenue or business opportunity. Shot3D is provided for domestic and private use, and if you use it for business, the business terms below apply.
If you're a business: to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
For everyone: nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Third-party services
Shot3D relies on third-party services, including Stripe for payments, Clerk for sign-in and optional sign-in with Google. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes to the service or the law. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If a change significantly affects you, we'll tell you by email or in the studio at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before then if you don't agree.
General
- If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
- If we don't enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- We may transfer this agreement to another organisation, for example if our business is sold, and will tell you if we do. Your rights under these terms won't be reduced as a result.
- These terms are between you and us. No one else has rights under them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you're a consumer, you can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in your local courts.
